Hi all, I have a 2008 fiat scudo van 1.6 90hp.
Long story short the garage has put a new engine in it. I’ve done about 300 miles since having it and noticed a couple of things and would like to know if anyone has an idea what it could be.
Firstly when accelerating and changing gear it sounds like the accelerator is still depressed at the same time as the clutch for a second or two even though it’s not. My first thought was that the accelerator cable is sticky and could do with a bit of lube but I’m now thinking it’s an electric throttle so this can’t be the case if it is?
Next when cruising at 70mph it seems to almost be cutting in and out but not if that makes sense, almost like it’s hitting a sticky peice of road. It’s not losing revs or making any noises it just feels like it’s being pushed forwards then held back. I do carry a water tank in it with about 500l in so my immediate thought is that it’s the water sloshing back and forward but as it only happens around 70 I figured I’d ask in case anyone’s had the same as I’m writing this anyway haha. (I will be emptying it at some point and checking)
Anyway my main query is the throttle/clutch thing.
