My 07 plate FIAT Scudo Pano (8 seater) has finally died on me and I don't think it's worth the money (at garage prices at least) to fix it. So I'm looking to get shot of it. I'm based near Rotherham, South Yorkshire. Anyone on here interesting in buying it for spares or repair? Here is a quick overview of what is good/bad about the vehicle.

Up to August last year it had never really had anything go wrong with it. The only things it's ever needed have been the usual stuff like air filters, oil filters, brake pads etc. The fuel pump failed about 5 years ago and was replaced. That's been it.

In August the EGR valve failed. It was cleaned (£200) then failed again and replaced with a new non-FIAT EGR valve which did the trick (£350). But the part was faulty and it's just failed again.

In September the clutch failed and it was replaced for a not-FIAT (LUK) part including release bearings. However, the garage that did it made a bad job of it. They cut the sub frame bolts off and dropped the entire engine to access the clutch. They then spot welded it sub frame instead of using new bolts. This was remedied with new bolts, but in the process FIAT (where it is now being checked over) have discovered the alignment of the clutch is out. It works, but it's not a good clutch and could do with replacing at some point in the future. I spent over £700 having the work done and am now seeking a full refund.

The other day the EG valve failed again. I've recovered the vehicle to FIAT and got them to do a full diagnosis which has showed up a faulty EGR, failing injector(s), dirty fuel filter, damaged suspension spring and CV boot (caused by the previous garage when they dragged it onto a recovery truck) and worn brake discs and wiper blades that weren't picked up on the last MOT.

I think that's all the bad bits!

Good things about it are as follows:

New-ish tyres all round (about 6 months old, very little wear)
Original FIAT Scudo engine (about 98,000 miles) with no sign of head gasket going (confirmed ok by FIAT today)
Original FIAT gear box, no sign of wear
Original exhaust (brackets are worn/rusty) but has been solid since new
Original FIAT CAT
Original FIAT alternator and all other ancilliary engine parts (only things not original are water pump, EGR and and glow plugs)
Good wheels, excellent body work, interior still good. Got 6 seats in rear (total of 8 seats)
All original electrical parts, lights, interior, doors, bonnet, tailgate, windows.
Pretty clean vehicle all round.

Body-work is excellent for the age as it's been part-vinyl wrapped for most of its life.

If you're prepared to replace or blank the EGR, change an injector or two, replace brake discs, replace suspension spring and CV boot you could have a vehicle in a running condition that will trundle along for a few more years as a taxi or work van. But for me it's not worth doing. I need something that I can just shuttle my (now smaller) family around in and that won't cost me too much to run and maintain. A small 4-seater car will do me these days.

Alternatively, it could have a lot of still half decent parts on it suitable for breaking/spares. I would do it myself, but don't really have the time or knowledge to undertake a breaking project.

If anyone is interested send me a private message. You can text me if you like on 07932 308961 if you want to come and look at it. Ask for Daniel. I'll try to answer any questions you have and will deal honestly with you.
