Hi can anybody help please, I bought an original Fiat radio off ebay for my mk1 2006 Scudo. I just put the radio in the van and the plugs all fitted fine, thing is the display when tured on reads 4 ERROR. I bought it off a breakers so maybe it is a dud but they said it worked. Any ideas please? Thanks

Radio usually needs a code, which when entered tells the body computer (ECU) to accept it. This is an anti-theft measure. I'd expect the Scudo to be like this. The error message might be because the code has been entered incorrectly, or because the ECU is refusing to communicate with it. Scudo, being a product of the joint venture between Fiat and Peugeot/Citroen might be a little different.

Is there anything in the handbook about radio codes, or error messages?

Many thanks for the advice PB, I do need to dig out the manual just need to find it lol. Hopefully it can help as it needs a stereo, totally in love with the Scudo. Some cars you fall in love with others (Transits especially) you sort of do not fall in love with. Fallen head over heels in love with Fiats and Scudos
