Hi

Does anyone know where the sensor/pressure switch is on the drivers side door of a 2007 (newer shape) scudo?

9 times out of 10 it doesnt lock from the remote. it clicks as if the door is still partially open. if i slam it shut sometimes it then works.

And when i start up and drive off i have the door open warning and the interior light still on until i get up to about 20mph then it just locks correctly.

Any help gratefully received

Its in the actual lock itself, dont think it can be changed separately. The lock itself is not too difficult to remove once the door panel is off (which is a pain to remove) but in the end I just cut the wires to my switch and joined them together so it always thinks the door is closed. It unlocks and locks OK but just have to remember that if you unlock the van and only open the drivers door, if you dont get the key in the ignition and turn it on, it will lock itself again. That as far as I can see is the only snag. I just make sure I keep the key in my pocket unless I am going to drive it. I have not priced a lock up so have no idea how much they are.

So I changed the locking mechanism which was a bit of a difficult job but it seemed to cure it.
But then I thought I'd try it with the key in the lock....stupid idea!

Straight away it caused problems. I cant lock or unlock my drivers for with the fob. All other doors work fine. And all is OK if I actually use the key. I've left the battery off for a few minutes, I've unplugged the locking mechanism again but still the same. Drivers door doesnt lock with the fob but does from the key. Any thing I can try to sort this? Thanks

Not sure but It might need taking to a dealer to get the lock coded into the van.

I had the same issue on my Scudo. It got worse, until I could no longer lock the van at all! I ended up replacing the lock mech with a secondhand one I sourced from Europe. Best solution IMO.

Yeah, I've tried that. Would be unlucky if I was sold a duff one.

thanks for the advice, very helpful. How did you identify witch wires to cut and join up to make the permanent circuit? got the same problem with my scudo.
