Hi Folks,

I have a scudo van 1.9 D non turbo 55 plate 2005.

Can anyone with the same van year or similar tell me how many keys and what type I should have ?? At the moment I have only one.

Also is my van supposed to have central locking or not ?? At the moment it does if I sit in the middle where I can reach all the locks. :D :D

Here is a pic of the only key I have.

This key obviously operates the immobilizer, but should there be a master key ?

Cheers

I've got two similar vans, one is a Fiat Scudo & the other a Peugeot Expert both of similar age & built in 2002. The Expert has electric windows & central locking whilst the Scudo doesn't.
I know there was a facelift model in the mid-2000's but I'm not sure if the electrical upgrades were applied across the different manufacturer's models.
My Fiat is bog standard so chances are your's is probably the same with no central locking but I could be wrong.
It would be quicker to do a bit more searching with your Google Box than wait for the Ed China of the Fiat Forum to answer your query...

Thanks for that, I have since found out that my brother in law owned a scudo, and he agrees with you, some did some didn't, his had a home made version which he upgraded to a fully functioning central locking system, clever Git LOL.

I think I need to get a spare key tho just in case.

Cheers :D

No red master key on these mate, I would be carefull when you have a new key cut I tried a freshly cut new key in my 160k scudo and completely knackered the ignition barrell, the old key would no longer work either!

To add insult to injury I had paid £40 for a chipped key only to find when replacing the barrell that the immobiliser had been bypassed

You gotta laff at that matey. LOL

I have been quoted 25 quid for a chipped key, from a local locksmith we use at work (college) I will get him to make sure of the fit if I go ahead with a new key....thanks for the heads up !! :worship: (y)

I was parked in a pay and display car park at the time lol, i came back from town with new key in hand and tried it! wasn't very funny at the time.
The key was cut as perfect as possible but the worn ignition is fragile.

Luckily the RAC bloke was sound and took the time to help me remove the ignition and drive away with a screwdriver as my new key

Thanks for the link on the floor mat I will be ordering one
