Hi all, I am new to this thread so hopefully I get my point across without talking too much.

I picked up a Fiat Scudo 1.9d EL fairly cheap, although now I feel I paid a bit too much. I bought it due to having the twin side doors large load area and three seats.

Since getting an almost clean MOT last month, she is slowly going downhill with use.

So onto my issue,
When starting from cold, allowing glow plugs to run their cycle, she starts fine and sounds fine.
Temp gauge goes from 0-90 as per norm.
Occasionally the needle goes off the gauge and the 'stop' light flashes.
If I want to immediately replicate the fault I can put the headlights on or turn the blower to max or just indicate left or right, hazards do the same too.
I have checked and cleaned all the earth points that I can see, even the gearbox one.
I have replaced the sensor and even put new (2nd hand) connectors on the rad fan switch and coolant temp sensor.
I have removed the cluster and checked the connections there too.
I have noticed that since I have been using it my clock has stopped, my mileage odometer has also stopped displaying any clear figures (broken calculator) and my fuel filter warning lamp is on too,
although I have done a timing belt service with waterpump, new thermostat, all the filters, inc fuel.

I don't expect a definite clear answer but does anyone have any pointers?
I want to get a 2nd hand cluster to try too, but I fear of losing my current mileage reading, it was roughly 75k, will I lose this for good?
Is the mileage logged in the ECU or the instrument cluster?

Sorry for the 100 question opening thread, but I am baffled

Thanks in advance, Dave
