Technical top end engine rattle

I have recently got knocking sound on the top end of my 2010 multijet 2.0 hdi engine.when the van is ticking over it sounds sweet as a nut but when you give it a little revs it starts to rattle.i have taken it in and had timing belt and chain done as it was thought it was the hydraulic adjuster which it turned out not be.i have been told it could be low oil pressure and advised to change oil pump and pump chain.just wondering if any one else has had this problem cheers

i have a 2002 1.9d with the same noise been on a diagnostic and been told its the the water temp sensor not working which makes the ecu believe that the engine aint warming up and keeps choke open which pushes the diesil in causeing the knocking noise mine is going in garage 2mara for new part

thanks ill mention it as a bit stumped at moment
