Hi. new to the forum. Hoping someone can help me. My scudo had a loss of power and a misfire when idling. I was told to unplug the Advance Solenoid Actuator.The van now runs ok but is very noisy, sounds like a knackered transit. Was then told that the solenoid needed replacing, which I did but doesn't seem to make any difference. anyone got any ideas what the problem could be.

Might be worth checking the timeing belt, this sounds like it might have jumped a tooth. Very unusual but not unheard of.

had a new belt, tensioner and pully fitted about 6 months ago. still seems ok.

Mine jumped about a week after fitting, no damage thankfully.

Will get it checked.

Get a diagnostic check done firstly. There should be a fault code. The egr could be stuck open also. Or the inlet butterfly stuck closed.
