I have a lot of side to side movement on my handbrake, How do I tighten it?

Mine also moves side to side a lot when in the off position when applied it tightens up had a good look today no visible signs of wear so if not broke I won't fix it have two mates with despatches and they have the same symptoms must be a common fault or way they are designed as long as it works I won't be worried

Remove the shroud covering the assembly.

There are two allen bolts, approx 8mm, one front/one back. Both of mine were almost hanging off, I tightened both and now there is virtually no movement at all.
