Hi All

My scudo 07 plate multijet 90 1.6 is only making 2500 revs
Could it be stuck in limp mode ? No engine management lights or other warnings.

Can anyone suggest a code reader for the scudo

Thanks in advance

Had the same problem in a 2.0 MJ, changed the fuel filter and away it went. Done 20K since and no problem. Worth a try

Thanks mate
Done the filter already, but it made no difference. I still think it is electrical as the rev drop was instant, no drop off or dodgy running. It was running fine then I pulled up at a junction and lost the revs when I pulled away.

Any suggestions on a code reader, I have never owned one but dont want to lash out £££ on one that doesnt read Fiat.
Bought the scudo as a bit of a project, but all the electronics gizmos are a new thing for me. Last motor i bought for a project was a 1600 crossflow escort MKII about 25 yrs ago

Cheers

Got me on this one, could be throtle position sensor?. Any code reader that reads the peugeot expert will do the trick, Usually best telling the code reader it is an expert it gives a better reading. One problem you probably will have is it will show the throttle position sensor as faulty whether it is or not and workshop instructions is to ignore this fault on the computer but it could well be the problem in this case. It is not in limp mode as that would bring on the engine managment light. Hopefully someone else on the forum will be able to advise further.
