My 52 Reg Scudo 1.9 Non Turbo has excessive wind coming in from the side doors (obviously when driving).

I don't have a bulkhead and can barely use the phone when driving (which is complete illegal and I do not condone) as the door is almost next to my ear.

I noticed the top roller could do with adjustment which will pull the door tighter in the closed position.

Even then, the sliding doors (both sides) still sit proud of the driver and passenger doors which I think is a design flaw.

Does anyone else have this problem?

Apart from fitting a bulkhead, what can I do?

hello r your plastic door guide fixing plates still in side panel sometimes these come out causing door not to shut proper also ones on door see if ok might b able to move them over

I took the brackets off the top of the doors and bent them inward, that did the trick but you have to be very carefull doing this as they are cast and therefor are not supposed to bend.

Thanks for the post, I think they are intact but will have a look

I'll definitely give this a try, my bracket does seem to be the problem.

Thankfully, if it breaks, I'll be able to fix it.

I'll try adjusting when the snow thaws and I can get the doors open

I have same problem, by bracket do you mean the top one that bends into the cabin?

Do you need to take the roof lining in the cabin off to get to it?

no but you do need to support the door while it's off. open door and unbolt bracket, about half way along runner there is a clip, take out that clip and take bracket along runner to that point and lift out. :)

The bottom bracket mount bolts (3) sometimes has thick spacer washers...removal of these can bring the door in.

Also the top arm...if you loosen the 3 mounts; then get someone to push the top of door inwards while re-tightening...this also can bring the door in level to body.

Great post, I've had my 55 plate scudo 8 weeks now & the noise is getting to me now, ill try the bending tomorrow.!

Fresh back from Patons in Glasgow and I now have a door that fits properly for the first time ever. The guys there know their stuff. First thing he did was to take a pair of molegrips to the top locator lug in the door and bend it inwards. there then followed a balance of the door midway in travel and twisting the door on the middle runner gear. Last and not least two highland games biceps held the door middle and bent the top in. Job done! No more wind whistle, no more puddles inside...I am just hoping 5 years of water coming in has not started any lasting damage and cursing every main dealer that could never put this right!.

Funnily enough, mines did turn out to be a missing plastic plate (the female piece on the main body).

It seems to have helped enough without any major bending / adjusting :slayer:

Has anyone else had progress with this. Iv got a dispatch and Iv no idea if I should attempt to do this myself. I would like to but dont want to damage anything??

Bent mine in about a year ago, noisy again now. Really bugging me as its never fitted properly ?
I'm gonna remove it tomorrow to investigate.

given up on the sliding doors
its a taxi so the wind and rain only come in on the passengers
