(1)Pocket Mechanic Peugeot Expert, Citroen Dispatch, Fiat Scudo, 1.9 Litre Diesel and Turbodiesel, 2.0 Litre HDI Diesel
(2)Pocket Mechanic Peugeot Expert, Citroen Dispatch, Fiat Scudo, 1868cc DW8 Diesel Engine, 1.6 Litre and 2.0 Liter Petrol Engine

The online downloadable manuals found on this site are 'ok' but fall far short of the typical 'Haynes' that you come to expect.

The Peter Russek Pocket Mechanic versions add some valuable advice for the general maintenance and changing the usual 'suspects' when they go wrong such as brakes, clutch, steering, suspension etc. A lot of requests on Fiat Forum refer to clutch and timing belt jobs and these are covered fairly clearly although the advice does tend to assume a reasonable level of mechanical pre-expertise. There are also notes on the engine internals although I haven't had cause to refer to these on any occasion so can't comment on their accuracy.

One thing that lets the book down is the appearance - they do tend to look like photocopies of photocopies and the illustrations are consequently difficult to 'see'. There are also a lot of bloopers, spelling mistakes, missed cross-references etc. All in all, given there is no Haynes-type book available, the Pocket Mechanic version does fill a gap.

Frankly, if Haynes were aware of the interest in the Fiat van range I'm sure they'd do a 'proper' book covering them - beats me why they don't in fact....

Perhaps Haynes have had a look at doing a Scudo manual, but after doing so are just as confused as the rest of us!
