Hello again, Thanks for looking at my post.

I have owned my van for over a year. It has always had a rattle when in neutral.(hard to describe a rattle i know) I recently changed the clutch and cable which i posted earlier.

The rattle has not sorted itself out. I thought it was to do with my clutch problem but its not. Like i said its only in neutral. When the gears are engaged it dissapears. There are no strange noises (yet) when driving and it engages and changes gears no problem. The oil levels are fine in the gear box also.

When i had the bell housing off i checked the spline which the trust bearing sits on and nothing seemed worn etc. Is there any common faults for the gear boxes on my model or is this rattle the norm for a van of this age. The van has done 95000.

Any pointers would be greatly received... Cheers again.

There's a spline sleeve that's not part of the clutch kit (normally) that 'should' be replaced when doing the clutch. Must admit I didn't change it when I did my clutch either and - fingers crossed - no rattles so far!

Its a bell housing off for that:bang: so ill be monitoring the rattle!!!!
