Hi All.
A friend has a scudo 2.0 jtd with an intermittent fault, the van will drive perfectly normal for days then the engine will cut out for no apparent reason.
It will normally restart after a while and a bit of fiddling, when it cuts out everything goes completely dead, no starter or dash lights the only thing that works is the radio.
Garage checked the battery terminals had new pumps, crank/cam sensors, the fact that the electrics go completely dead must be a clue, but I can’t seem to figure this one out.
The cooling fan doesn’t seem to be operating at all, but a bit hard to tell this weather.
Any ideas suggestions gratefully received.

I have the exact same problem with my 2.0 jtd, since yesterday
also got fault code p0380 which points to glowplug malfunction can this be the cause of problem ?

also where is the ignition switch located ?

where is the ignition switch located ?[/quote]

Lol its the bit where the key goes :bang: on the right hand side of the steering coloum under the wiper switch. (its usually not to hard to find)(y)

lol that was a silly question from me:D
managed to get problem rectified, it was a bad earth on my scudo which was the cause of the problem.
