General Engine management light on but no codes

Scudo 19ED EL - Engine management light on, vehicle in limp mode. Sent into the garage, they checked it out and the code for a crank sensor was present, crank sensor replaced and code cleared. Engine management light still on but no codes registering and still in limp mode so the garage have no clue where to start looking. Any iteas, anyone had the same problem?

had the same problem 2 years ago with 2.0jtd turned out to be the turbo overboost valve cost £50 at that time

It's a non turbo model.. Thanks anyway.
