General delete old threads?

Posted a thread about rear seats on here and job done so how do I delete the thread in the interests of keeping everything slim and tidy or do they just fall off the end of the world after a certain time?

threads are kept so other people can view them and get ideas/help (u have no control)

the idea is that the forum is a data base of info then if some one with same problem comes on they just use search to find the answer
