Sat Nav for under £80

Ok so dont know what its like and am sure its not as good as other units on the market, but for under £80 if your on a tight budget i'm sure its worth a look.

Medion Sat-NavGPS PNA150 Unit

£78.67 inc. VAT

LINKY

Halfords used to sell that, it wasn't worth the plastic it was moulded in.

80% of units came back, this is the generation of sat nav that would send you from leeds to manchester Via france.... it basically doesn't have an artificial intelligence system. :yuck::yuck:

although £80 is cheap for a sat nav, i would still leave it and save up for a TT1...

might be worth £80 for just the Maps:

"UK, Ireland & Western Europe preinstalled on a 256MB memory card and CDROM"

Although that all depends on whether this is the old system and the company is getting rid of their stock, or wether this is Medion, who are getting rid of their old units (therefore updating the mapping data) ... i would guess not the latter though

Dunno, i guess it would depend on if this was really as much as you could afford, anyone actually owned one of these?

Four or five of my engineers brought these used from medion direct around a year ago for about a ton each and nobody's mentioned problems. They always get to where they need to but it don't get the buggers out of bed. Will ask them tomorrow see who's had an issue.

i havn't owned one, but we had a deal with Medion a while back and about half of the staff at my store bought one.

needless to say none of them still have them.

Perhaps, after handeling high spec stuff all day we just cant be doing with waitng 10 minutes for it to gain a signal.

Nah that says alot, although i guess the medion is coming in at the budget end of the scale, i totally know what you mean about using the high spec stuff all day.. i guess thats the problem in any job.

Well i wont be buying it anyway just thought it was cheap with the Euro maps and all. tbh although i drive all over the place am never anywhere i cant find on a map or by printing off the streetmaps via google, well at the mo anyway, so i'll let the technology keep getting better and buy one when its nice and cheap and has a IQ as high as its price tag!(y)
