Finally, Dixons have refunded us for the TomTom, after trading standards got involved. Apparently they broke the law by giving us wrong information, stating that its between the consumer and manufacturer, and nothing to do with Dixons.
pretty much every tomtom has had this problem, but its not as widespread as this thread makes out, and its no big deal just do a soft reset. even tomtom navigator 3 & 5 have the same issue no matter what pda they're installed on. if you use it daily it doesnt seem to happen as much. after a few days of inactivity the software crashes and requires a reset.
