No voice on my SatNav!

Hi, I'm an innocent abroad! My wife's beautiful 500 hybrid is a wonderful item but the Sat Nav is giving us problems. Namely, we can't turn ON the voice! The screen display is clear, the radio is clear, but no voice commands. OK what am I missing amongst the zillions of controls. HELP!

Try factory resetting the system
Alternatively you'd need to try adjusting the volume when the system is speaking pretty hard when you can hear it buts usually it will quiet down the radio or music playing when it's giving directions
