Good evening

I just bought a Fiat Punto from a local dealer. I had to ask for an sd navcard separately from another seller but it doesn't work when I insert it. All it does is showing load and nothing else.

Any idea how I can make it work?

I'm assuming this is a much newer model Punto, Now given that the later model puntos had a largely bespoke Satnav system from Daciichi and that very few cars were fitted with this, its unlikely anyone on her will have any experiance of the radio let alone how to update the maps.


Because you aquirred the SD card as you say from another seller, rather than buying it from fiat or an authorised retailer, I have to wonder if the card is designed to pair with the first radio its used in and then not update other cars.

Obviously it would not be good business for Fiat to sell a maps update to one person for them to sell it on or lend it out to all their friends and family to update their cars as well without fiat earning any additional revenue.

I would argue that the card you've got has been designed to only work in one car.

I hope you didn't pay for it?

The most likely only way you could update the maps on your car would be to buy an update from fiat.
