Sat nav advice

Can anyone recommend a decent sat nav at a reasonable price that tells you what speed your going & warns you when your approaching speed camera?

Re: Sat nav advice

I bought a Garmin Nuvi 30 from Halfords last year for 50. The screen is a bit small but its a great little bit of kit. Fits nice and neatly in the bottom right of my windscreen. Only thing I don't like about is when its warning you about speed cameras the warning obscures about half the screen.

Re: Sat nav advice

Nav free is good for a free one but personally the screens a bit small for me. In my opinion you can't beat a tomtom. I got the XL from halfords for 79 but I'm sure you could find them cheaper online somewhere

My TomTom from Halfords (Halfrauds) does the whole thing.
Advise you getting Map Updates and Speed Camera updates for life upgrade or 2 years if you are worried about it.

Look in there, best place to play about with them.

Mine has speed camera setting and if they're not there you can clear them.
Also eco route option for distance and best fuel economy.

I could do with replacing my antique Sony
ukhotdeals flag-up a Garmin 2517LM @ 90 from Aldi
Garmin are a popular aircraft installation so should be good for car methinks.

Re: Sat nav advice

I use a binatone with IGO software on it, sat nav cost me a fiver in local paper and software is downloaded free. It doesn't do speed cameras but if you don't speed (and thus break the law) you dont need this function anyway.

Haha yeah I've noticed that too, I bought a new Garmin from argos for 90 at Christmas but i'd rather have TomTom and now they also do lifetime mapping its an easy choice.

I bought myself a Tom Tom Xl from halfords at Christmas. Its my first sat nav as im a newish driver and I have got to say its fantastic.

Easy to download new maps and voices ( I currently have Cp30 , which is amusing).

I thoroughly recommend it.😃
