Posts: 12 Thanks: 0 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | TomTom IQ Routes cradle in 500? I am considering ordering a 500. I would like a way of powering and supporting my existing TomTom IQ Routes using the dashboard B&M port. I appreciate that no BlueTooth functions would be available but I would like to avoid having power leads trailing. Any suggestions?

![]() | Re: TomTom IQ Routes cradle in 500? You say you want to use your existing TomTom but this may not be possible as the various models have different connections. For instance, you can buy the dock separately for about £40 and that will just slide into the dash port to provide power as well as a mount for the SatNav. However, it is designed for the 750/950 TomTom model which is why I could not use my 730T. . ![]() As long as you have the correct TomTom SatNav you can use it as a normal and without the hassle of wires

Thanks to your information that cradle is intended for the 750/950 models I can investigate the practicality of re-engineering the cradle to suit. Call me a skinflint but I have an aversion to buying another navigator when the one I have has the functionality I want. :-) BTW I picked up my 500 4 days ago and thrill to the muted rumble of those two cylinders! Regards

Those pictures (not the LHD one) were from my TwinAir Sport and I got the BLUE&ME TomTom as the adaptor on my 730T was of the mini USB type and completely different. However, I was impressed with the B&M satnav and it was useful for the extra things it could do when linked to the car system. Have you checked out the 500 section yet?

All I want is a mount that will fit into the dock and hold my Tom Tom XXL Classic. Will have to put up with the trailing wire, just want something better than clipping it to the air vents. Partsworld are advertising a mount on eBay with no electrical contacts but I don't think it will suit the XXL because of where the power cable fits at the bottom.
