i work at halfords and i am the person that people come to see about sat nav problems and which 1 is beest blah blah.
i find it really irritating when people buy a sat nav, take it away and come back the next day complaining it doesnt work.
the reason i find this irritating is the fact that halfords offer those free demos to show how they work etc and set it up for you, yet the ones that come back with complaints are always those 'il do it myself' types of people. i think theres a few things people should bare in mind when purchasing a sat nav.
1. If you want something simple buy a garmin
2. If you want something cheap get a s**t one (RAC, Navman, Navigon)
3. If your not certain on how to operate it take advantage of the FREE SET UP AND DEMO!!!!!
whats all your thoughts on this. any similar experiences with sat nav. are you one of the 'Il do it myself' people that irritate me at work ;)

TBH I simply find Halford irritating :p But yeah that is one of the few things that halfords offer that actually is quite useful and i can see your frustration.

I get it all the time with amps. I will set the gain for somebody and explain that it should be set to match the voltage of their HU's preouts so there is no need to change it. I then show them how to tweak the filters ect to their taste so they should have no problems. A couple of weeks later i get a phone call saying its all fooked. Where do you think the gain is set? :bang:

lol yeh it can be irritating :p
Sat Nav's are not that difficult to use, its not nuclear physics stuff. Plus it comes with a manual?
exactly my point. it comes with a manual and the offer of free demo, yet people feel the need to complain :bang:
