I have this sat nav.
I got it about 5 months ago and its good. However i went to tesco the other day and i saw the exact model of mine on display for people to use (it was on). The one on display had a better interface than mine, to insert a postcode, numbers and letters were on one screen. On mine you have to press a seperate button to access numbers to choose.
Ive updated it but it hasnt made a difference, is there not a way to get the same interface as the newer models? Seems a bit unfair.

Rather than a software update would an extra driver (or newer drivers) not change it?

A lot of manufacturers change these things based on feedback from previous models... you might just have to like it or lump it!

I got one for xmas.. Think its brilliant.. The POI isn't great but i hardly use that. Don't like the size of the vehicle on the screen either, covers to ugh of the road.. a little dot would do fine.. Cool that there are so many extra's do DL for it though.

i didn't like the car either, but you can download more from the garmin website... (y) i got the cop car on there...

I got the 265wt...same thing really just downloaded poi database thanks stu (y) I have a little red hatchback carrying a crimbo tree as my vehicle guess I have to change it now.

A software update is available for any 200W owners which u can access via the Garmin Webupdater application which should be installed on ur computer for updates.

Also available are various voices which add a bit of fun over and above Garmin's default direction voice. They cost £4.99 each via the Garmin site.

i wont update mine yet ,as i wont pay for a update on a sat nav i only use once a month.. ( yeas iam cheap)..:D

the day they become free then i will, but till then i'll just guess were iam going... :)
