Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Engine was running, and was really mad!!
Now the wires are not connected and it hadn't been running for about 6-7 months.Carb's are Solex 40's. I'll probably make the service of engine head, change piston rings and flying bearings, and also do the service of the carb's so it will all be in good condition.
Next week were going to work out electrics on the car
Regards

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Thank you a lot, I appreciate it the main theings bothering me about my car are three for now first of all the panel isnt working at all. It is a little bit complicated think as it is kind of special. anyway it shouldnt be very different from others, but I cant fix it. I dont have any shemes for it, and the cables are real mess. Beforre me there were some people, who tryed to fix it but made it wors. I was wondering if can post some shemes if you have or something like that. Furthermore, again due to cables all the lights are complete mess. The problem is that the car is old and I dont have any manuals. Its almost impossible to repair them without any instructions. The third thing is the gearbox wich appears to be the common problem of this model. I know that there are some similarities with samara and seat ronda. I've tryed two or three , even mixtures with them, but there was always something. If you have any answers to this questions please tell me, anything I havent tryed might work. Thank you for your time in advance you've done amazing things with yours, I wish main could be like it

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

I didnt know about such similarities. I might try this I dont know yet. I just found here somebody selling his Ritmo. Tomorrow I'll go to see it. He told me that it doesnt have any gearbox problems, I' ll see that. If I buy it, I' ll know that for sure after 2-3 days, I' ll tell you. I' ll try to find somewhere here some shemes. Thank you sumplug, but I' ve tried it and I couldnt deal with it. I have a friend who told me that he can find me something. I ' ll know about that for sure somewhere in the middle of this month. If I get some shemes and manuals I' ll post theme here, so they would be available for everybody. Wish me luck

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Hallo, my Ritmo is very near the end of restoration.
Machine is now rebuilt, also with all other parts.
It needs some more work; carbs are not tuned yet, I need left front brake calliper (could it be the same as on Uno Turbo??)...
Ritmo in a good company :

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

well three iconic cars!!
if i remember, the uno and ritmo caliper are the same. were also fitted to 1980's alfas and lancias. they are still available new over here in UK. brakes international stock them and they post overseas if needed.

hope this helps.

Re: Ritmo Abarth restauration

Thanks for the info. It is easier to find Uno turbo then Ritmo. I think Lancia Delta also has the same calipers. It can be bougth here in Croatia but I have to wait about one month.
