hi,
have just acquired a fiat strada abarth 130 with the wiring loom in a mess, can anyone tell me what connects in the connection hole near the relays on the front of the control unit fuse box.

also am I right in thinking one of the two power plugs(red wire) is the power from the ignition when the key is turned, where does this 12v source come from is it via a relay, any additional info or pics that anyone has would be useful, thks.

A picture of the the fuse box and "connection hole" and would be most help helpful. My 130TC is all tucked up, under covers and wedge in so I can't easily get access at the moment.

The large RED cable on a single terminal connection is the main 12V feed from the battery.

There is a direct, non fused 12V power RED cable feed direct from the battery to the ignition switch. From the ignition switch there are n wires.

1) ORANGE/LIGHT BLUE which directly feeds 12V to the ignition coil with a spur connection ORANGE wire that feeds 12V to the Digiplex unit.

2) RED/BLACK which is the starter solenoid 12V feed

3) LIGHT BLUE/YELLOW which feeds FUSE 1 (Services) in the main fuse box. Also supplies 12V to the instrument cluster.

4) LIGHT BLUE which feeds the Heated Rear Screen Relay

5) LIGHT BLUE/YELLOW with feeds 12V to steering column switch assembly and the fog light switch

6) Might be other depending on your cars options, e.g. electric windows

hi, thanks for the info..here are some pics of the fusebox, showing the connection hole to the right of the relays and the two red wires going into the back of the fuse box...the one without blue tape on is this a supply to or from the fusebox is it ighition controlled.

The big red single (with blue tape) wire on the top right corner in picture is the 12V feed direct from the battery +ve terminal.

The other red wire is a +12V feed from the headlamp main beam relay and supplies fuses 7 and 8. +12V goes from the battery to the relay (not in/on fusebox) and from the relay (when energised) to the fuse box.

The ignition switched 12V feed wire is the Light Blue/Yellow wire located next to the end Brown/White wire in your picture 2. In this picture top right is the red wit with blue tape. Directly below you will see a brown wire with white longitudinal while stripe. Move one with to the left of this brown/white wire. That is the ignition switched +12V feed.

Making some progress now, have power to the instrument cluster, battery and oil light on, in the dash cluster, power to starter motor, fuel pump, digliplex and coil.

power also to steering column also, but when connectors are connected on steering column 12v feed to steering column dies to about 0.3v..could steering column stalks be faulty???

can the steering column stalks be taken apart???

also have 12vpower to relays in fuse box by steering wheel but some relays wont switch on - checked them on battery so no relays work, could this be bad earths possibly not giving full current,..

thanks for help, any advice appreciated..
