Hello:)

I have got digiplex from 130TC (med 408a) and engine wiring from 130TC. I have noticed that there should be bitron module with it. Is this right? How does this bitron work? What is it for?

Have not come across this module before.

Can you supply a picture? and numbers on the module? and any clue as to where the connections go.

What does it look like, size, buttons, etc.

Also what country market was the Strada from/for?

To my knowledge it is nothing to do with the ignition on the original 130TC setup. Could be related to electric windows or other supplementary systems that were fitted to some cars.

Just checked my Ritmo Energy Saving (Ritmo ES) workshop manual and have found the unit.

It is the "Idle Cut Out Device"

"cuts off the fuel flow to the engine each time the accelerator pedal is released when the vehicle is slowing down".

If this is malfunctioning then your engine will be having fuel supply problems.

As for the Ritmo 130TC then I do not believe the ES system was fitted to any country models except for the possible exception of the 125TC for the Swiss market.

With the exception of the 125TC all Ritmo/Strada Abarths 130TC came with either two Solex (mainly) or two Webber Side draught twin 40s. These performance carbs never had any solenoid fuel cut-off valves. Four such valves would be required.

So you may have been sold bits reportedly from a 130TC but I can not see how that is possible.

Email discussion with OP has revealed that he is looking for a similar module for his Regata with a 2.0L FUEL ENJECTED engine.

There is such a similar module but it is a voltage regulator (well that is what Fiat call it) for the fuel injection system and not a fuel cut-off as would be required on an ES carb based engine.

Now I am sure, I am looking for electronic module Bitron Fiat 12V 2049004.

Does anyone have such thing???
