Hi I own a 2008 1400 Strada xspace. It's jerking at pull away but it is interminant. I have replaced engine mountings with no positive result. Do anyone know what is the purpose of the switch on the clutch pedal?

Your vehicle is related to the Palio, Siena, Albea and Perla Models.

See: [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fiat_Strada[/ame]

These a totally different (as Varesecrazy) to the UK/ European Strada/Ritmo models.

A switch on the clutch pedal is often associated with Cruise Control. i.e. when the clutch pedal (or brake pedal) are touched cruise control is disengaged.

Do you have "Cruise Control" or any similar system?

My Strada 1.4 is also jerking - im trying to eliminate it by checking various sensors - still working on it. The clutch sensor is monitored by the ECU if you run a diagnostic it shows the position of the clutch probably for cruise control other other reasons, will post if i find the problem with the 1.4.
