Whilst going through my box of photos to find those of my 105 TC I came across these which I'd completely forgotten about, well they were taken in the 1980's!

Not the best quality, I didn't have a very long lens, but hopefully good enough. I will have another go at scanning and run through a photo programme to see if I can improve the quality and sharpness.

Good to see the Stradas at the front of the field with Golfs and Astras etc. trailing in their wake!

Taken at Silverstone and looks like a production car class.

And here is a Mk. 1 105 TC which was competing in the 1983 Lombard-RAC Rally (as it was called then). My brother and I followed the rally in my 105 TC.

Not very sharp I'm afraid - I will definitely try and improve this one.

We followed the rally for a number of years in different cars but one year that stands out was when four of us did it in a 131 Sport. The guy driving, parts manager if I remember correctly, for the dealer my brother worked for, was a brilliant driver and overtook almost everything on the winding roads and in the wet quite often had the back end out! Really impressive but you always felt safe.
