My Turbo Ritmo. Powered by a race built Integrale engine with a Motec management system, it was originally an Italian rally car but was converted to run in the Auto Italia series in the late 90s. Anyone remember it racing?

That is cool. I was talking to someone the other day on what other engines are based on the same block as the Strada engine and it got me thinking of possible engine conversions :)

Monster ! Toughest looking Strada i have ever seen, especially like the grale style flares, really suits the shape of it and flows very well.

Jealous :p

Raced by the Haynes brothers, very fast if i remember but interesting handling. . . .
Is that you Leo?

It's me yes! No idea who you are though! Sorry I haven't been on here in a while. I have had the car a few years now but I have been having a Davrian Imp Saloon rebuilt and that has taken all the funds up....

Yeah, I bought it (the Ritmo) from the Haynes brothers and all the descriptions I have heard have been the same! Incredibly quick in a straightline and errrr "interesting" handling...... It has a few mechanical issues, a blown turbo being the main one.
Hopefully we will have it in the workshop in the next few months before bringing it back on track!

Fantastic IMP! Seen a few Maguire Chassis cars, some that were in the SuperSaloon Series, with the likes of Nick Whitings Escort and other legends!

Fantastic period of racing! :slayer:

I remember the car being for sale along with an ex DTM (80s) N/A Ritmo & several Alfas. Wish I'd bough the Alfa Sud they had.

Where do you intend to race it?

The Imp Special Saloon is eligible for the CSCC's Special Saloon Revival Race at Mallory Park on August Bank holiday monday (free race entry to invited race car participants) - contact the CSCC for more details & to register your car. We are hoping that this Revival race will lead to a series for these iconic cars next year. Other eligible cars include Modsports, Super Saloons, Thunder Saloons & Donington GTs.

There are several threads about the race on 10-tenths
