I've seen this 130TC for sale....

http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/1214694.htm

It looks like it is missing the front Abarth badge, rear Strada 130TC badge, A post trim, B post trim, parcel shelf and clutch pedal rubber.

It has a few performance modifications / improvements.

It also has unoriginal foglights, a horrible yellow aerial and a sunroof. I remember seeing / hearing about 130TC's with sunroofs from years ago, but can't remember if this was ever an option or after market?

It must be a mark 2 (85 B reg), but it has mark 3 interior and grille.

Nothing looks to be seriously wrong with it and some of the above would be easy to sort and some things might not bother you too much. It is nearly 25 years old after all.

So, does anyone know the history of this car?

I'm not saying I'm interested, as I've just had to buy the wife a Multipla due to the immanent arrival of our third child. Lets say I'm just curious about it at this stage, honest.:D

I just sold the bloke a parcel shelf so it will have one soon. On another site someone went to have a look and said the paintwork let it down. The sell asked me for various other bits but most of my stuff is now gone. Personally I think the price is too high considering the things you have mentioned. I expect a mint original car with comprehensive service history for that sort of money not one with the wrong interior and parts of trim missing. Makes the £1500 I sold my car for look good value....

Bad paintwork would put me off at that sort of price.

It's still a car that I think about whenever I see one for sale, but I think that I have more important things to worry about at the moment. Maybe in a couple of years when we have renovated / extended our cottage and stopped producing children every other year. I may then get something interesting from the anywhere between the 70's and 90's and I'd never say never where Strada Abarths are concerned.

500 RHD? only 600 tipo 16v's.

About the sort of price these cars should be selling at, but for some reason they're not!? lack of spare parts? or the fact that they're on carbs? (which are more fun!!) looks might have something to do with it, but i like them :yum:

there's a post on the most excellent retro rides forum about the work the car has had.

Thankyou very much for pointing me in the direction of another forum that I will now be looking at. There are not enough hours in the day..........
