Im currently restoring a Ritmo\Strada 130tc, but im in doubt of what to do with the engine.... Does anyone here have any experience with a conversion to a 16v head? Is there any car i can use the head from, without to much mods? Im planning to use 45mm carbs, hoping for about 180-190hp. 16v head, or getting my 8v head ported and optimized?

The Lancia Delta Intergrale is supposed to share the same basic 2 litre block. Don't know if the crank pulley end fittings are the same or not. Compression ratios could be all upset though.

Personally I would stick with the original 130TC head. Piece of mastery for a naturally aspirated head/engine.

Would stack a properly tuned (not modified) standard Strada Abarth 130TC engine against a standard Tipo 16V unit any day of the week. Both are fine engines, and the Tipo 16V head will probably go on the Strada block.
 
Would also say/qualify my previous post. The 130TC unit is 130BHP but the torque curve is extremely flat, making a performance and tractable unit. The 16V Sedicivalvole unit produces a few more BHP but sacrafices the flat torque curve.

Both units are brilliant bit of Fiat engineering. If I were you I would decide on either a standard 8V Strada unit with carbs, or a 16V complete unit transplant, complete with injection etc.

Of course you could go for a fuel injected Strada 130TC. I've not seen one of these yet and I suspect that over the next few years this may prove to be a viable alternative to the diminishing original parts availability. Dixiplex units are like hens teeth for starters.
 
Thanks for your reply:) Im leaning towards a standard, welltuned 130tc unit. As I already have two complete units. I dont se it as an option to build an injection engine for the Ritmo 130tc. Thats like swearing in a church.......

hi m8 ,hi got lancia thema 16 v turbo in mine 105tc,and box intergrale brakes calipers shocks handles 205bhp ,torque 245 ,handles very good
quick shift 0.to 62 5.7 ,152 mph ,,gat it sorted m8 ,,
