General chrome?

Hello Guys & Girls!

One thing I'm missing for my convertible and been searching high and low for.. without any results are the chrome which frames the door.

I have not a clue of what's it called in english, anyone?

I've added a couple of pics which hopefully shows what I mean

The one I'm looking for is the one on the left/driver door.
Is there a difference between the convertible and the hatch?

Anyone who might have one spare or know's where I can get it?

I think it's probably stainless steel rather than chrome.

I think the part is common to 3 door models not just convertable. I might have a spare as I had a spare drivers door which I stripped. I'll have a dig around over the weekend and let you know. failing that a machine shop should be able to make you up a part fairly easily would have thought.

Thanks for looking.. just to let you know.. it will be the left hand door if you are looking? it's a left hand drive

Surely there will be a difference between the 2 sides?
And this is the piece that has the rubber on the inside?
To make it solid close to the metal and the window?

Hi, don't worry already clocked that your car is an LHD when I responded. I've been out in the shed today and have both metal/chrome strips. One side had a screw through it. It's all tucked away for now because I had to empty the shed for some work to be done on the drains.

sounds great you've got the strips.
how much would you like to have for them? do u sell them in pairs or just one side? Does it have the rubber aswell (for the inside)
where is the screw?
if it's tucked away.. is it hard to get to?

I have a UK address aswell, since I'm working in London.
So if it's easier it can be sent there?

Any idea when you will be able to get it out?
having to do last min fixing of the car before a carshow on the 1 st of May, so all needs to be done than.

What part is it you've got? only the chromelist, I thought the chrome and the rubber came off in one part?

Hi Uffe, payment received. I do have the rubber. There is a bit of the rusty old door in the gap which you'll need to scrape out and the crome could do with a good polish but is all there so hopefully will do you well. I'll package up tonight and send it out tomorrow. Thanks Trevor
