Qubo, 1.3 Multi Jet Diesil
Hi All hope everyone is doing ok.
I have had my Qubo for 8 years and always been a great car
Its now on 114,000 miles approx, but services annually.
My problem started a few weeks ago and has been back and for to a mechanic.
But the problem is not resolved. Here goes the explanation:
Morning cold start.
Starts normal, idles and cuts out with in seconds. Do this over and over keeping the revs up a little 2/3000 to warm it up.
The gaps in between cutouts get a little less. So luckily there are quiet roads from the house to work, so i can drive.
Once moving the car continues to cut out, while in motion with revs up or down it makes no difference. The car when running revs through the full band easy.
It will cut out all the way to work - a good ten minutes drive.
After it has cut out, i take my foot of the throttle so no revs, turn the car off and back on, and it bumps immediately with no effort.
Running time in between cut outs can be 2 - 30 seconds no pattern. Some mornings are worse again no reflection of weather - it can be raining and drive ok then sunny cut out more often and vice versa.
So this last week, it has been cutting out and on some occasions starting its self with out turning the key off and on.
After the first run to work is done, the car runs much better all day.
It may cut out once or twice through out the rest of the day but mainly runs good when warm...
This morning is worse. It will not start at all.
Note: Engine Management light comes on sometimes, but then goes off.
No Codes recorded which confused the garage.
I managed to get it read one day when the EML was on, and it was something to do with rail pressure.
Also - have had a warning pop up fuel cut off, on some times that it stops running.
But again nothing recorded.

Whats been done so far.
Fuel dump and refilled with clean fuel - in case of contamination.
New Fuel Filter
Fuel Rail Cleaned out.
EGR Valve cleaner sprayed in to air intake (MAF removed)
Nothing has stopped this happening.
Could some one please suggest what might be causing this.
