Good afternoon to all

Recently i have a strange problem started in my car
my car is qubo 1/4 benzine

The external temperature sensor went crazy
And actually does not work.
Once shows me minus one once shows me 70 degrees.

Where can I buy this part?

And where is he sitting?

I would be happy to help

thanks

Hi, Guess yours is the same place as mine, its located inside the (here in the UK) Drivers Door Mirror Housing, that the right side of the car looking from the rear. Yours could be different...........Ebay have the sensors on at times. Cheers Qube O.

Hi, does anyone have a proper video link tutorial on how to remove the mirror without breaking it? I have the same issue with faulty readings from the temperature sensor. It's reading 3°C when its actually closer to 30°C.

Good day,
Can anyone please tell me what the resistance of the thermistor for the ambient temperature sensor is? I have ordered one from aliexpress but it is the wrong resistance as it doesn't read 3°C anymore, but 50°C.

can I ask how much you paid for this on aliexpress ? I think that a brand new sensor from the dealer will cost you a few pounds only and will work without any problems

Yeah I bought it for something like £2.50 (roughly R50 South African Rands). I went this route as the dealers only sell the whole mirror unit which then costs almost R2000.
It is a very basic electrical component, if I can just figure out what resistance the original one is supposed to be, I can get it at a local electronic supply store for next to nothing - they cost like R10 a shot.

Update:
So through trail and error I have managed to find the correct thermistor and replaced it. It is a 10ohm thermistor that I have mounted just behind the mirror. I left the broken sensor in it's housing in the bottom of the mirror, otherwise the wind whistles through the little hole.
