Hi, I'm thinking of buying a qubo 65 reg, 1.3 multijet. Could someone tell me what the real life mpg is.
Also I test drove it and it seems more powerful under low revs, not nippy unless you really put your foot down.
Does this sound right?

Hi Jon,

Sounds like you might have a 75 PS model there (pre the newest facelift with the 80PS engine)
On my 75 PS engine (with Dualogic transmission) I was getting 58-62 mpg though I never used the self-selecting 'auto' setting, I decide when to change gear as I'm better at getting to the right gear rather than using the car's brain...

The 80PS is really nippy, positively fast (which a Qubo isn't really) but the consumption I get is usually 56.7 mpg (still a Dualogic). I do a 100 mile daily commute and local driving at the end of the first part (after 50 miles) and the commute is almost all motorway so perhaps I benefit from that?

Whatever the brochure tells you, take it with the usual pinch of salt but these cars are economical and good to drive - plenty of space inside and folding or removable rear seats make it really versatile!

LOTS of good advice on this forum so whatever questions you have, someone will have been there so feel free to ask.

Welcome to the world of the Qubo :)

Thanks R V M, it's a manual.
I'm driving a 1.9 doblo 120 at the moment so may have seemed naturally a bit less power. Here's the spec...

Hello. The 75hp doesn't have a lot of power especially higher up in the rev range and in higher gears. Quite a short power band I think 2000 to 3000rpm. The 95hp model may be more to your liking and it has a variable geometry turbo rather than the fixed geometry in the 75.
Having said that you can get the 75 remapped up to about 95-100hp which perks it up a lot, especially in low gears.

HI
Just with a tuning chip I have 105 BHP and it's even more lively with the cone filter upgrade
I have three switched settings on the chip box LOW/MED/HIGH, and is currently set at Med as when in high setting on hard acceleration there's a lot of black smoke but the extra power was unbelievable but could not live with the smoke issue

Awesome! The Qubo I'm getting is 95hp, I'll see how it goes. How is the fuel economy effected by a chip tuning?

Hi back again.
So I'm going to pick up the qubo Mylife 1.3 multijet Manuel 95hp tomorrow evening. It's a 65 plate with 31k miles 3 previous owners £4990.
The issue I have now is that it was advertised as 29k miles 1 previous owner.
I only found out about the mileage and owners today after doing an online history check.
It's from Cars 2 Fiat in Barnsley (main dealer?) It comes serviced (? It's due a full one but I doubt they will do more than change oil and filter) 12 month mot, 30 day warranty.
On the check it does say that the last owner bought it in January 2020 and past it on to the dealership in February 2020. The dealer told me that he didn't find it suitable for his needs.
Also 2 thirds of the front bumper have been re sprayed, top bit and one of the corner sides. The dealer(young lad) tried to tell me that they don't sell damaged...... I told him that had clearly had a re spray. Not too bothered about that but a lot of things too think about.
Does anyone heave any advice on any of this?

The respray might be to colour-code the (overly huge) bumper to the wings/bonnet to cover up the blackness if it was a base spec. Perhaps stone chips?
Not sure when the latest facelift actually came to the UK. Mine was registered 1st Feb 2016 (66 plate) and the design is different (better) plus different rear tailgate. Wiper still misses the top 2"!

Hope it's a goody..

Really? I've been thinking that but it's a very good price for mileage and year. Why do you think that?
