Hi, I just bought a Qubo, used but in perfect condition

with service done by the Fiat dealer.

Two questions for who can help me:

the mileage keeps flashing since I turned it on the first time

and I don't understand how to make it stop.

Here too we are in lockdown, I have practically

never driven the car. Every three days I start the engine to not drain the battery. Today I did

the same thing but the engine light has come on and tells me to check it. The car started groping at the beginning but then it went normal.

Is there anyone who can suggest what the problem is.

Thanks,

G.

Re: Engine light on Qubo

Hi G, welcome to Qubo-ism!

A car that gropes eh - definitely Italian...

The flashing odometer is no doubt something you can check on this forum using the search function - it will tell you there is a problem with the canbus nodes, either too many detected or a temp fault in the self-check or some issue with the Blue & Me module (under a front seat) which could be a quick fix or a costly one.

Have a read of some of the questions and suggestions for repair.

It could be that removing the battery leads, shorting them together (completely independent of the battery ) could cure the issue when you reconnect (leave the battery off for 15-20 mins for all the residual current in the system to drop).

Your local garage should be able to provide a diagnosis using the OBD port behind the under-steering-wheel scuttle panel (two plastic screws you can undo with the ignition key or a large-blade screwdriver) which will give you a definitive answer if the above 'sometimes' fix doesn't work.

Good luck and enjoy the car - they're good little workhorses with quirks, a lot of which are described on these pages.
