hey first post!

Second Fiat ...

Okay so bought the Qubo (bright Green 2012) off Evilbay and had a very quick exchange via a train station and the guy had it in a loading bay so it was a very brief look and off jobby ... I paid below market and expected some faults ...

on the way home I noticed the mileage flashing, then realised no blue tooth and steering controls.
From what I can tell this is a proxy alignment issue (trader said recent new battery) am I right ?

next serious issues finding someone to do it nearest fiat said £42... bargain... 3 weeks or more as someones off.
I rather sort this now.

can someone help in west london ? or direct me to the best kit to DIY it as I fear this will happen again

Thanks Charlie,

Ive got as far as that and seen a £120 bundle but also single cables etc then got lost as to what was actually needed.
every auto sparx ive asked seems to know nothing about it and my local dealer dangled the carrot but 'the guy' to do it never seems to be around ...

Id hate to spend the £120 and have no idea to use it

Welcome to Quboworld...

I had the dreaded flashing odo a couple of weeks before my last Q was to be traded for a new(ish) facelift model (Reg 1/2/17)

I did a bit of research and the Blue & Me box was the fault (the proxy-alignment issue) so loss of phone conneciton etc. The dealer said they would knock c£150 off the trade-in to go half-way on the repair which I think is a new B&Me box (that mounts under the seat). You could try sourcing a unit from a scrapper to see if it fixes it (though no gurantee that it will work anyway). Maybe the ECU has to be updated to accept a new unit that wasn't the original (dunno if that's true?)

A very helpful tech guy at a multi garage (inc Fiat) suggested disconnecting the battery, put both leads together to take down all the current in the cables and leave it 30 mins then reconnect to see if it wakes up the unit. Also he said try just disconnecting the box and leaving it 30 mins (it's a simple connector) but for me neither worked :(

Once (and once only) when I switched on, the odo had ceased flashing, the car said the BT was connecting but it was short-lived. One wonders why one unit can corpse so many other things...

Good luck with sorting it and I hope it doesn't put you off the Qubo, they're generally very versatile and economical cars and do mostly what you ask of them. £20 VED is another bonus :)
