Am trying to replace the front lower suspension ball joint on a 2011 Qubo. The ball joint is held in place by 3 rivets, presumably these have to be drilled out?

In a word yes.
Did you know you can get the bottom wishbone complete with tat ball joint.
Mine will be due soon and that's what I'm going to do as not only new ball joint but new bearing in the wishbone as well.,it will just save any issues later on with wishbone bearing and having to strip it all down again

Thanks for the info but I've already bought the ball joint!

I think if you replace just the ball joint , you have to do the tracking afterwards ,but if its the whole wish bone that has the ball joint you don't have to. That's what I've been told.

I would still get the tracking done as any work on the front would still upset the geometry slightly
The Fiorino is notorious for tyres wearing on the inside edge and even worse for mine when I changed my wheels to 17''Abarth blades being that much wider than standard I had to ignore the tracking settings set by fiat and adjust untill I got the wear down to a minimum
