Today I learned to replace lower control arms on my qubo! Yay! 4 hours work and no more creaking and knocking sounds, 40$ saved and XP gained... Level up!

But! As I was wiggling the old ones out and new ones in, on the passenger side I accidentally pulled the axle out and some trannie fluid poured out (about 100-200 ml). Should I replenish the lost fluid and if yes where is the plug on the manual transmission? and should I worry about the seals (not the mammals) now too?

Ok, i got the idea where to look for plugs. Any tips on how you got the oil inside and how much to fill? From what I found out you fill till it spills. Also some folks say that losing less than a cup of oil won't hurt. True? Or should i top it anyway?

Hi
Thd gearbox takes a litre and a bit
Quite easy to fill with plenty of room to get oil in without it going every
where.....so just filling until it comes out of the fill hole
I would just go ahead and change the oil..then its done!
I have since learnt that 80k is time for a change

Sorry no pics! Was too busy to crawl under the car last week. Today I finally got the special key for the drain plug: It has square edges. The old fluid probably never got changed :( (130K km) was dark grey and cloudy... yuck :yuck:.
The new fluid I got in through the breather vent on top of the gearbox, drove around the block - looks ok! Thanks for all the advice and tips!
