Hi, everyone.

I just upgraded my Megan 2005 auto (blah...) to a beautiful Qubo 2013 (Manual 1.3 Petrol 75HP), and I must say, I'm loving it. It's a great car. Really fun to drive.

I have a few questions, and any help would be very appriciated.

First, the radio. My Qubo has one of those stock MP3 CD players without AUX or USB ports. I really want to upgrade it, but upgrading those built-in-type units is very uncommon where I live (Israel), so the pickings are slim. The best offer I got was 500$ for the simplest Pioneer system which has a USB port (and installing it requires a 100KM drive).
I figured I could do it myself. I managed to take out the existing unit (didn't disconnect it) following some advices given in old threads around here. Since I don't have the radio code, I don't want to continue until I'm certain I can complete the upgrade.
I want to order those fascias that hold universal units, and plug a simple system in it. What should I keep in mind when I looking to by the fascia and radio?

Second, regarding child-lock (doggy-lock). I got the Qubo to drive my 4 dogs around. 3 of them ride in the back (with the chairs folded) and one of them likes to move around a lot (to look out the windows or get some pets from the driver/passenger). I'm worried he might accidentally pull on the door handle mid-drive when he props himself against the window or folded chairs. I couldn't find any way to activate child-lock on the door. Where else can it be? Is it possible that my model has no child-lock? If so, how can I verify?

Last question. Can anyone direct me to a good place to buy parts (with shipping to Israel)? DIY car repair is nonexistent here, so when I searched for a new rear-window wiper (some kids broke the original), I couldn't find anywhere to buy the part so that I could install it myself.

TL;DR, Can I install any standard radio in my Qubo? How do I turn on child-lock? Where can I buy parts (like wipers) with shipping to Israel?

Anyways, kudos on the great forums/community.

Cheers.

CHILD RESTRAINT SYSTEM fig. 65
This device prevents opening of the side sliding doors from the inside.
It is engaged only when the side sliding door is open.
❒ Position 1 - engaged (door locked);
❒ Position 2 - disengaged (door can be
opened from inside).
The device stays on even if the doors are unlocked by the central electric system

Page 61 of the manual shows a picture of this ( manual available in the downloads section of the forum)

Hope this helps

Thanks, Ken.
I read that part of the manual, but I couldn't find the switch on the door. I suspect my car doesn't have that system (though it sounds odd to me), is that possible or am I just missing something?

Cheers.

Apparently I don't know how to read a simple diagram. I mistakenly thought it depicted the front end of the door. Found it now. Thanks a lot Ken!
