hi just got a qubo 09 reg 1.3 diesel 33000 mile on the clock
it just a bit flat on pick up more when in 5th gear
on the motorway it all ok its just when you are going 40 mph put your foot down and it just will not pick up speed if you drop a gear its fine
anyone got any idea

Try driving the petrol 1.3. Flat in every gear.

Actually, that's not totally fair, as the little engine has loosened up a lot in over the miles I've done in it. I've always thought that the petrol models gearing was more suited to a diesel engine with more mid range but your post has made me think that the holes in the acceleration are just down to poorly chosen rations full stop.

Don't forget its quite a heavy little car.

I can't drive round at 30mph in 4th, it's too high so I guess that if you are in 5th and trying to accelerate from 40mph it wont like that very much either! Probably just the way they are geared unless anyone else knows better?

yes mate a 09 1.3 75bhp disco green for work
and a 1.3 95bhp trekking blue
the 75bhp is a lot better on fuel to

did a service on it the egr was full of crap fitted a blanking plate pig of a job to fit not running 99% better and more pull
