Hi

As per title, looking for additional seat covers for my Qubo as the originals seem to stain easily, any recommendations? Am favouring some on ebay at £165 for a full set.

Also appreciate comments/experience with bike racks for the Qubo. Looks like three choices. Mount on to bars on the roof rack - at just over 6 foot I should be able to reach just about! Fit a tow bar and then add a ball fitting rack - not keen on fitting a tow bar as bike carrying will only be done occasionally. Or lastly a rack that clips/is strapped on to the back door - have used a Halfords one on our previous Panda with no problems.

Your advice appreciated.

My trekking has the longitudinal bars fitted and I was just planning to put some universal bars across and just strap a pair of bikes down to all these bars. Not quite done it yet, but can't see a problem?! They'll be well strapped down

Thanks, it's a thought, I wonder if there's a possibility of scratching your roof with a peddle or handlebar though?

Have to say that I found it hard to strap items down on the few occasions when I've carried stuff on my cross bars - it's wide and high on top of the Qubo!

Could you not get a detachable neck towbar ?

I have a Thule towbar mounted carrier, it's light and easy to load / unload.

I can fit or remove it in minutes, it's dead easy (y)

If you go down this route you need an Alko type ball with the extended neck

Had a look at a Fiat roof rack fitting bike rack at my LD yesterday. It seems well made, but am concerned about lifting a bike (two in our case) that high and then strapping it in.

Wonder if any one has actually used a roof fitting one? Means I can access the boot without getting the bikes off. Can't do that with a tow bar or rear door fitted one.

Is a rack strictly necessary? You can easily get a bike in the back of a Qubo and still retain some seating and plenty of luggage space in the back

Its the sole reason why I went for a vehicle like a Qubo; don't fancy the idea of my precious bikes flapping about in the wind :D
