....Why have I only just come across these v/interesting posts ? Had 2 lots of DRLs + 2 relays for switching them off when Headlights on --in the garage for a while now....NOT fitted yet since I could not FIND an Ignition ON Feed supply [Under the Bonnet] IS THERE ONE ?
Any advice most welcome ..Aaaaand wot a great Forum :worship::worship::worship:

What cars they been fitted to?

As the qubo/fiorino has the option to have the side lights turn on and off with the ignition this is how i wired mine up,i still have a relay and resister fitted so they at half brightness when the headlights are turned on.
my van went through an mot last week and the tester said this was an acceptable way of wiring them up.

Re: Daytime running lights

Can you itemise where you picked up the (switched) power supply please?
Also, what's access like at the rear of the (seemingly over-large) front bumper/shroud? Did you have difficulty getting the nuts on the rear of the bolts securing the DRLs or was it straightforward?

The ones I've seen say no instructions included and there's no switching relay though several types are available to purchase separately either as an on/off or half dimming unit - even one to flash the DRL off with the indicators on. It quotes 'as used on high end' cars. Seems a bit OTT to me! Must be running out of gimmicks to sell cars..

As i said, use the side light feed which you can program to switch on and off via ignition.
As for fixing them to the bumper you will have to remove the plastic wheel arch to gain access to do the bolt up.

ps The drl's you have chosen are the exact one's i used
