Hi daveukqubo,
Thats great news, I really pleased your happy, particularly after having to wait so long. Keep letting us know how you get on, and bear in mind that these engines just keep getting better and better with a few miles on them, that applies to the MPG as well.

Take care, Qube O. :D:D

Just a Q i dont have any ashtrays my fiat qubo has no ashtrays for smokers .. did any of your fiat qubos come with ashtray mine came without them ?????....

I do find its so much quicker of the mark set to M on dual logic .. got to love the dual logic gearbox its great.

Hi daveukqubo, Happen your correct, its a matter of when the computer would change up as opposed to when we as drivers would change up.........though as a general rule I'm happy to leave it all to the computer.
Take care Qube O.

I leave mine in auto mode, but change up and down if I need too, It will overide you if it thinks you are going to damage the gearbox. Mine does anyway, it bleeps at you and doesnt allow the change.

My qubo came with an ashtray its near gearstick slightly below, if you remove it its a cupholdrer. I use it keep spare bulbs for my trailer.

On further using my new fiat qubo for last few weeks now from new i have now covered approx 850 miles from new .. the weather has got much colder -3c # THE FIAT QUBO HEATER IS PURE RUBBISH NOT MUCH HEAT FOR VERY COLD WINTERS + COULD DO WITH A MORE POWERFUL HEATER THAT CAN GIVE OUT MORE HEAT # What a shame for such a nice car Mpv .. Faults & unhappyness i feel so far .. I ordered for tint windows car came no tints windows so did not want wait anymore got money refund for extra cost for tint windows also not got fiat service there .. 2/ Heater very poor ... 3/ No spare wheel & cage holding = this should not be an addon extra at all .. 4/ Passenger side window screen wiper looks out of place the way its been set dont look right poking upwards .......... Other than that very happy so far .. ** I Will give more updates again soon **

I know what you mean by the heater, but all Diesels are like this. They are more thermally efficient than petrols so there is less waste heat, certainly before they warm up, and then not too much.

If your heater is not working then get it back to the dealer.
Our old Qubo had a magic heater, even it the middle of the 2010 winter when we had temps down to 17c, it soon had the car cooking. Over the past few cars i've found the heaters on diesels to be better than there petrol partners, maybe this is due to the higher running temp of the diesel.
It's no fun sitting in a car over a long journey with no heater to speak of plus sub zero temps.

Hi sorry to hear you have a problem with your heater. I have a 09 1.3 multijet the heater is a little slower to get going compared to a petrol engine, but mine always starts kicking heat out within two miles of driving.

I am lucky though I work outdoors and don't really feel the cold.:)

my car 1.3 m/jet auto 2011 4miles to reach tempture, then not that hot, fed up with cold car, like the car hate the heater.

hi phil, i bought a heater like yours out of a magazine, no good either it was just warm. near usless, i will buy the same one as you,and hope that one is better, everything i buy lateley seems to have something wrong with it, thanks for your reply.:(

Red the link I gave is a guy who since qubo ownership i've used a great great deal for bits & bobs so if you end up with the same or not happy he'll happily sort anything for you

Mine seems a little slow at 1st...yesterday -4 at 8am I turned fan on and went to scrape ice off other windows..by the time i'd done the windscreen had started to clear soon as I opened the drivers side nice and warm inside as well..

Hi guys, we had a prob with the heater on our Panda Sporting, like you it was slow in coming up to temp, and when it did it was not very warm.
Took it back to dealer and explained the prob, and was told to take a seat it would only be 5 mins.
When we went out to the car and opened the door the heat hit you like a brick, I asked what they had done to improve the heater, and the mechanic put his hand in hes pocket and produced a thermostat "wrong on for the UK" was his reply.
Did notice later that engine temp was slightly higher.....but ooooooh heat.
