Talking Trekking: One of the Very First

Any other Qubo's out there?

Just joined the Fiat Forum, and have just taken delivery, on the 23rd December, of one of the very first Qubo Trekking's in the UK.

So far so good, awesome little car, and perfect for where I live and potholed country lanes.

In Rockabily Black.

Should have joined when I had a 500 and a Panda 100hp!!

But i've found the forum now!!

A.

Re: Trekking: One of the Very First

Hello. Welcome and all that

I like the Qubo very much and maybe this year I'll get one, or the forthcoming Panda? Or wait another year and......anyway: what's the Trekking like on snow and ice, we need to know?

It should be better than the normal car: is it?

Hope all goes well with it; keep us posted.

Re: Trekking: One of the Very First

The answer to the question on Snow and Ice.

It's fantastic on Snow, driven recently on 10cm of fresh, and it really grips.

The snow and mud tyres are great.

On ice, not really a big difference, as you slide in whatever you are in!!

More to follow!!

good to hear it is working well in the snow. It will be interesting to see if you get better economy figures that the ilder qubos, the fiat site suggests they will be better on the trekking for some reason.

Re: Trekking: One of the Very First

Just taken delivery of an Azure Qubo Trekking today, having part-ex'd our beloved Doblo - new Doblo far too big and expensive to consider. So far, we're very impressed. Why a Trekking rather than an Active or Dynamic? Active doesn't have a height adjustable driver's seat which we required, Dynamic has 16 inch alloy wheels with lower profile tyres, which will (we feel), give a harsher ride and be much less handy in snow - we live in a hilly part of Cumbria. Also, Dynamic doesn't have a spare wheel, only a can of gunk, useless if you wreck the tyre rather than puncture it. So, Trekking it had to be.

I'll report back on progress in due course.
