Hi,

Apologies if this is obvious or been asked plenty of times; bit of a novice, had a look around the net but its not help to me so here I am.. Just bought the said car and I've been told the spark plugs need changing. In my efforts to find the right model number I've come across plenty of confusion about the required spark plugs for this car (noteably on this forum: https://www.fiatforum.com/punto-technical/9518-hesitation-mk2.html)

Anyway, the Fiat recommended 'Champion' model number is 9GYSSR but these are the ones people seem to be having issues with. So i ask, has anyone any experience replacing the plugs themselves and have any experience with some reliable plugs?

Thanks in advance.

Phil

When i had my old mk1 with the sporting engine in it i went to a motorfacter shop and just told them the spec of my engine and model and the spark plugs they gave me never gave me any problems you should try the same.. :)

But if you want good plugs NGK i think there called.. (y)

As your just bought it i would give it my little own service if it was me starting with new spark plugs, air filter, oil & oil filter, fuel filter..
