The drivers door on my 3 door Mrk.1 blew fully open in the wind the other day, and now it doesn't shut easily from the outside. It appears that the door is now too high for the catch below the B-pillar. The hinges look really stout so I guess that the sheet metal work around the body has bent. Is there any easy fix anyone knows for this without taking it to a bodyshop?

I've tried putting all of my not-inconsiderable weight on the door, but its made no difference. I will try swinging from it, cos I know it will drive me nuts not shutting first time!

put both hands on top of door and swing from it, might pull it back into place, seriously

He's right!

You might have to try a block of wood between the hinges and pillar aswell while trying to close the door.
