hey there im new to this whole forum thing, so go easy on me lol
im having a bit of a problem with my punto gt turbo 1997 gt2
the problem being that the acutator spring is weak (and as im aware these can only be obtained with a new turbo from fiat) and i dont wana buy one for £350 or how ever much.
i was thinkin about fittin a bleed valve and having it set up, this is where im confused, the puntos run on a boost solinoid yes? much like the old ford rs turbo amal valve...?
do u have to remove the valve an place a 3way bleed valve in its place? or do you just place a 2way bleed valve between the boost source and the solinoid?
also running a bleed valve do toy still get the standard 1.6bar overboost?

thanxx alot

You have to disconnect the standard valve (but leave the wiring connected) depending on weather you use a 2 way or 3 way bleed valve depends on what pipes come off the standard valve and go which point on the bleed valve.

As for actuator you might be able to get a second hand one, the standard ones arnt adjustable but you could always buy an aftermarket one thats adjustable and fit it to your standard turbo.

thanx mate, ive found the "bleed valve" i wana buy its a turbo smart boost controller (2 way) cuz they act on a gate way system not a bleed system, how come you have to leave the wiring in the standard valve then? what does that do if its not even connected?

also could you tell me where i can get on of these "dr devil decats" (and the cost) because all i can find on the net or anywhere for that matter is a scorpian decat for £70. cheers again mate

i have just sold a actuador for £10 the normal gt on you can get them second hand.

i had a turbosmart boost cont it is a very good mate.
easy to fit to mate.

it says it on it how to fit all you have to do is go from pipe from actuador to boost contr and out the other side to pipe on turbo easy.

cool mate sounds good,
still gotta put car threw MOT next month so have the boost controller done after that!
do you knw here i can get one of these "dr devil decats" that ive heard so much about, i typed it in onthe search engines (yahoo/ lycos) etc but nothing came up!? help anybody?

alos why has the standard pierburg boost controller solinoid got to be coneetectd when the pipes have been removed to and a bleed valve / boost controller be put in its place?

sorry for all the questions just want to get it right! lol thanks again

You leave the wiring connected otherwise the car with keep bringing on the injector light.

As for the De cat they are made by a member of another forum.

If you look on ebay there are a few gt de cat pipes on there.

ooh rite i get ya, lol

sorry to keep bothering you people but were can i get aholed of this "dr devil" lol i want one of his decats w.b thanx again
