I'm not exactly a car genius, but I could do with a bit of help.

8 days ago I privatly bought a '94 Punto 90 ELX Cabrio, and today it's increadily noisy when turning (sounds like rubber on plastic), the belts on the left of the engine are noisy and it's dripping fluid (looked like PAS fluid at first, but now seems to be back).

Temp gauge has never worked, and just noticed the seals on the block are damp, all oil and fluid levels seem normal. Oil is dirty, but free of foam/fluff without water floating on top.

Struggling to get a mechanic to look at it (I live in Spain). Questions....

1. What's wrong
2. Is it expensive?

Thanks!

Finally got a mobile mechanic out who rekoned it was a pipe of the back of the engine, which he re-attached with the aid of a trusty jubilee clip. Rocker seals also need replacing which he's doing some time this week (availability of parts depending!).

Does anyone know where I can find a Haynes type manual for my vehicle? Haynes sell them online but they say "Does not cover....1.6 litre (1581cc) engines". Gutted!

Suggestions greatfully recieved!
